Isa Oshen’s debut YA dystopian novel Soul of the Earth and prequel short stories imagine what our world will look like if we don’t deal with the social, socio-economic and environmental injustices we currently face.

Isa’s first Soul of the Earth prequel short story Alice In was published in Voyage YA by Uncharted Mag in February 2024. Her second prequel, Harem of Widows, appeared in the YA section of Antioch University’s Lunch Ticket Literary Magazine in June 2025 and has been nominated for the 2026 Pushcart Prize.

She holds a master’s degree in English Literature from the University of Amsterdam and a master’s degree in Early Childhood Education and Special Education from NYU.
